On Thursday of last week, pharmacists closed their doors in France in a rare strike – the first of its kind in over a decade. They were protesting against government plans to relax online sales regulations, which they fear could lead to some pharmacies closing down. They also wanted to raise awareness of a shortage of medicines in France. FRANCE 24’s Julia Sieger tells us more.
