Al-Aboudi said in his speech, during the celebration of the centenary of the founding of the College of Education at the University of Baghdad, attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We, who are interested in academic work and who are authorized to manage the higher education and scientific research sector and its institutions in Iraq, have the right to express our warmth in this way.” The centenary occasion of this important academic and educational edifice that embodied a history full of leadership and established a path full of qualitative scientific, educational and cultural landmarks.”
He added, “The significance of this centenary of the College of Education, a descendant of the High Teachers’ House, means 100 years of efforts and solid methodological codes, and decades of scientific giving, which was and still is a source that nourishes society with specialized educational and professional personnel.”
The Minister of Higher Education thanked the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, “for his interest in the educational environment in general, which led to the achievement of indicators, successes, and achievements worthy of being added to the achievements of academic institutions that raised Iraq’s name in international competition platforms, documented specialized research in global institutions, and were able to It is ranked 37th in the world in the university rankings.
He stressed, “The Ministry of Higher Education was keen to take into account the course of the government program, the priorities of the ministerial curriculum, and the national strategy for education, in providing the necessary support to colleges of education in various specializations, and harnessing the capabilities according to what researchers and students need in the midst of their specializations, which ultimately lead to university outcomes.” It meets society’s requirements and fulfills its need for educational and academic specializations.”
He stated that “the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research is continuing with confident steps to support study programs for educational specializations and maximize their fields at the level of curricula and teaching, develop skills, improve outputs and provide them with everything they deserve in order to serve the community and meet its needs from the educational and academic sectors.”
The Minister of Higher Education stressed by saying: “Faculties of education are at the forefront of these ancient colleges, which represent an important pillar in the process of social and educational construction, especially in light of the challenges that require us to exert double responsibility and more personal and institutional efforts.”
