The Ministry of Transport announced today, Friday, that it will continue to return the national carrier’s parked aircraft to service, as part of a practical plan whose implementation is directly supervised by the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibas Al-Saadawi.
A statement from the Ministry’s media office, received by Al-Rasheed, stated that “Director General of Iraqi Airways, Manaf Abdel Moneim, under the direction of the Minister, made a visit to the city of Cairo to meet with the Egyptian Company for Grounded Aircraft Maintenance.”
He added, “Abdel Moneim is following up on the progress of the work of overhauling (2) engine engines,” noting that “the next few days will witness a positive shift in the process of restarting a number of aircraft, whether through maintaining them or receiving new engines that were contracted to be purchased with major companies.” Globalism”.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Transport was able earlier to return to service five aircraft of the A320, A220, MAX, CRJ900, and B737 models, and all of them began operating on the national carrier’s flights.
