
Health scientist and longtime civil servant Susan Monarez was fired from her short-lived role as head of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the White House confirmed Wednesday. Monarez said she had refused to sign off on what she described as “unscientific, reckless directives” from Health Secretary and vaccine skeptic Robert F.
