The head of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate, Jabbar Jodi, said during the program, “The abundance of dramatic works in the Ramadan season is a joy,” stressing that “no drama series can be divorced from reality.”
He added, “Many of the current series touch on the Iraqi reality,” noting, “We need a reading table to review the works.”
He pointed out that “the artistic community is completely removed from the tensions of the political community,” stressing that “lawyers resort to the state matter to harm opponents.”
For his part, Director of Drama at the Iraqi Media Network, Wadih Nader, said, “Through drama, a new life can be created,” pointing out, “We in the Iraqi Media Network differ from other satellite channels because we are committed to societal determinants.”
He added, “There are committees specialized in scrutinizing and reviewing ideas and texts,” stressing that “for the first time in the history of the media network, four young directors are presented, including Ali Saad, Younis Latif, Muhammad Jaafar, and Malak Abd Ali.”
He pointed out that “there are strict limits and controls in choosing dramatic texts,” noting: “We completed 8 radio series during the Ramadan season.”
