The Turkish Ministry of Defense announced today, Friday, the neutralization of 8 members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party in the “Euphrates Shield” operation area in northern Syria.
The ministry confirmed in a statement that the Turkish Armed Forces will continue their operations in the region until the last terrorist is neutralized.
She stressed that Türkiye will not allow the establishment of a terrorist corridor on its southern borders, as she put it.
The Turkish forces, in cooperation with the Syrian National Army, carried out several military operations in northern Syria, including “Euphrates Shield” in 2016, “Olive Branch” in 2018, and “Peace Spring” in 2019 against the “ISIS” and “PKK/YPG” organizations.
