Kirkuk /Nina/Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan discussed with the head of the Iraqi Turkmen Front, head of the United Iraqi Turkmen Front list, Hassan Turan, the situation in Iraq, and the Turkmen in particular, at the ministry’s headquarters in the Turkish capital, Ankara.
During the meeting, according to a statement from Turan’s office, they reviewed the nature of bilateral relations between the two countries, discussed frameworks of joint cooperation, and worked to achieve the interests of the two peoples in the various files on the visit’s agenda.
The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue and joint coordination in the interest of the two peoples in various files and areas of interest to both countries.
Turan presented a summary of the situation of the Turkmen component in Iraq, the efforts made to defend their rights, and the results of the local elections./End
