Baghdad / Nina/ A new NBC News poll showed that current US President Joe Biden faces dissatisfied voters and a difficult political climate nine months before the election against Donald Trump.
The network indicated that Biden lags behind the Republican Party’s presidential candidate, Donald Trump, in key political and personal comparisons, including by more than 20 points about which candidate will deal best with the economy, and Biden’s deficit in front of Trump in dealing with immigration and borders is greater than 30 points.
The poll also shows that Trump is ahead of Biden by 16 points in efficiency and effectiveness, which is a decline from 2020, when Biden was ahead of Trump in this by 9 points before defeating him in that election.
Biden’s approval rating fell to its lowest level during his presidency in NBC News polls, to 37%, while less than 3 in 10 voters approved of his handling of the Israeli war on Gaza.
