Iraqi Airways announced today, Friday, an 89 percent increase in realized and growing revenues, while confirming that direct and continuous government support from Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani contributed to changing the reality of the airlines and creating a qualitative shift.
The company’s general manager, Manaf Abdul-Moneim, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The direct and continuous support from the government represented by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and the diligent follow-up and continuous directives from the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis, have brought about a qualitative shift and contributed to changing the reality of Iraqi Airways between last year and the current one.”
Abdul-Moneim added, “The revenues achieved and growing in Iraqi Airways witnessed an unprecedented increase estimated at 89%,” indicating that “the airline management is keen to rebuild Iraqi Airways in the correct way that allows it to compete with other companies.”
