Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Transport revealed its service plan for the process of transporting visitors to and from the holy city of Kadhimiya.
The media office of the Ministry of Transport said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry has begun the process of sending visitors to and from the holy city of Kadhimiya inside and outside the sectors, and in high coordination with the Baghdad Operations Command, the Holy Kadhimiya Shrine, and other supporting bodies in order to provide the best services to the visitors.”
The statement added, “The General Company for Travelers and Delegations contributes more than 400 single- and double-decker buses on three axles starting from Al-Nidaa Mosque towards Dalal Square in Adhamiyah, while the second axis will be from the international station in the Al-Alawi area towards the holy city of Kadhimiya, and the third axis will be from the Al-Adl neighborhood bridge.” Towards Aden Square.
He pointed out that “The General Company for Iraqi Railways is contributing 11 trains to transport visitors and on three axes as well: the first will start from the central station in the Al-Alawi area to Aden Square and vice versa, while the second axis will be from Umm Al-Tubul Square to Aden Square and vice versa. As for the third axis.” Basra, Baghdad, passing through the governorates of Nasiriyah and Diwaniyah, and vice versa.
The statement continued, “The General Company for Private Transport Management plays a major organizational role on three axes starting from Al-Nidaa Mosque towards Al-Nahda Garage and then to the southern governorates and to Diyala, Kirkuk and Salah al-Din, while the second axis will be from Al-Alawi Garage towards the central Euphrates governorates, while the third axis will be from Al-Taji Stadium towards Samarra, Dujail, Tikrit and Al-Dour area.
He stressed that “all formations contributing to the process of transporting visitors have reserve capabilities that will be used when necessary, while intensive meetings of the Ministerial Committee will continue in the operations room to follow up the process of transporting visitors.”
The statement continued, “Minister of Transport Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi directed the formation of an operations room to follow up on the transportation of visitors on the occasion of the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jaafar Al-Kadhim, peace be upon him, headed by the Administrative Undersecretary, Dr. Hazem Radi Al-Haffi, while His Excellency will follow up the work of the active formations during the visit directly and in the field.”
It is noteworthy that “the Ministry of Transport is participating with all its effective and supportive formations within a drawn up plan commensurate with the size of this important visit.”
