Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Commerce announced work on building large warehouses in preparation for launching the construction basket, and while indicating that it will include materials that the citizen is not familiar with, it set a date for its launch.
Ministry spokesman Muhammad Hanoun told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Ministry of Commerce is working on the issue of the construction basket that was announced by the Prime Minister and included dozens of construction materials that the citizen needs to build his own residential homes,” indicating that “the Ministry seeks to be the basket.” construction within financial and banking facilities.
Hanoun added, “We are currently working on building large warehouses in one of the areas of Baghdad that contain large quantities and types of construction materials that the citizen was not familiar with in the Ministry of Commerce’s equipment previously,” pointing out that “a contract was made with the Iraqi private sector for the purpose of preparing the construction basket, and we started more than two months ago.” “We will deliver construction materials to these complexes, and we hope that within the next month or two, we will launch the construction basket.”
He continued, “It is a very large government project that receives great support from the Prime Minister and the Minister of Commerce. It will serve as a strong support that the Ministry of Commerce is working on for the purpose of supporting the comprehensive development and reconstruction campaigns that Iraq is witnessing, in addition to the possibility of providing citizens and employees with good banking facilities at prices that are close to the cost price.” .
