Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Club Brugge over a deal to sign 18-year-old winger Antonio Nousa. The Norwegian is one of the most exciting young players and Brugge are hoping to keep him on loan for the rest of the season for £25m.
The Belgian club want to maximize Noosa’s value and rejected Chelsea’s bid for the youngster last summer. Chelsea have maintained an interest in the Norway international but must try to overtake Tottenham in the race to sign him. Spurs have been tracking Noosa for some time and have taken proactive steps to ensure they are in pole position to complete the deal.
Nousa has become an important player for Bruges this season and made his international debut by scoring in Norway’s 6-0 win over Jordan last September. Last season, he was only 17 years and 149 days old when he scored against Porto, becoming the second youngest scorer in the history of the Champions League. Nousa mainly plays on the left, but can also play on the right or in the centre.
