Tomorrow, Wednesday, our Olympic football team will play its only experimental test against its Egyptian counterpart, as part of its training camp in the French city of Anglet, in preparation for participating in the Paris Olympics, which will start next week.
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) reported that “tomorrow’s match will be very important for the two teams, because it will be held a few days before the start of the group stage competitions of the Olympic tournament, which will witness the participation of an elite group of the best teams in the world.”
He added, “The technical staff of our Olympic team, led by Radhi Shenaishil, hopes to include as many players as possible who are currently present in the friendly match against Egypt to accurately assess physical and technical readiness and raise the competitive factor before the first official match in the Olympics against Ukraine on the twenty-fourth of July.”
It is expected that Olympia will undergo a training session today, Tuesday, with the participation of (21) players after the joining of the professional in the ranks of Braunschweig, Germany, Youssef Al-Amin, the striker Reda Fadel, and the goalkeeper Hassan Abbas, while the Heerenveen player, the Dutch, Hussein Ali, will be the last to join the mission the day after tomorrow, Thursday.
