Baghdad/NinaSouth Korea confirmed today that the volume of trade exchange with Iraq is increasing as a result of security stability.
The Foreign Relations Committee in the House of Representatives said in a statement: “The parliamentary delegation, headed by Representative Dylan Ghafour Saleh, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, and the membership of Representative Muhammad Siddiq, Chairman of the Iraqi-Korean Friendship Committee, Representative Haider Al-Salami, Deputy Chairman of the Friendship Committee, and Representative Watban Al-Mansour, Member of the Friendship Committee, met with the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in National Assembly of the Republic of South Korea Kim Tae-ho in Seoul.
She added: “At the beginning of the meeting, the Korean side welcomed the Iraqi parliamentary delegation, stressing the need to strengthen bilateral relations by activating the work of friendship committees between the two countries, especially ways of cooperation at the parliamentary, diplomatic, political, economic, cultural and scientific levels.”
She pointed out: “The Iraqi delegation touched on topics and agreements under implementation with the South Korean side, including the draft investment protection agreement, the double taxation agreement, and other important agreements.”
Kim Tae Ho explained – according to the statement – that “the volume of trade exchange and investment companies between Korea and Iraq is increasing thanks to the security stability that Iraq has achieved, especially after the formation of the new government.”/ End 7
