A statement by the Supreme Council for Youth, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that, “In the presence of Qasim Al-Zalimi, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth, and Ashraf Al-Dahan, Director-General of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, a meeting was held with the committee responsible for holding the national program competition.” “Youth.”
He added, “The meeting aims to award (100) youth programs submitted by (100) government organizations. The volunteer team will be granted amounts ranging from (5 – 50) million Iraqi dinars, depending on the program presented. The competition will be sponsored by the Prime Minister and supervised and implemented by the Supreme Council for Youth.” .
He pointed out that “more than (3,200) applications or youth programs have been received, and upon completion of the counting and sorting, the program will be selected and submitted to the management of non-governmental organizations to launch funding with allocated grants,” indicating that “this step comes within a package of measures that I have taken.” The government supports young people and provides them with the opportunity to build their future and develop their country so that they have a clear impact in achieving their goals despite the difficulties that stand in their way.”
