The government service and engineering effort team announced today, Tuesday, its readiness to launch an architectural competition to rehabilitate the tomb of sociologist Ali Al-Wardi.
The head of the team, Jaber Al-Hassani, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “an initial agreement was reached with UNESCO to prepare architectural designs through a competition to rehabilitate the tomb of the late Iraqi sociologist Dr. Ali Al-Wardi.”
Al-Hassani added, “The agreement came during the meeting with the UNESCO delegation to implement the architectural competition for rehabilitating the world’s cemetery, in implementation of the directives of the Prime Minister,” pointing out that “the near future will witness the announcement of the launch of the conditions for the competition so that the cemetery of the deceased scientist will appear in a manner befitting its status.” “.
