The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers announced today, Monday, that the school buildings project will end the phenomenon of double shifts and caravan and mud buildings.

The General Secretariat said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Department of National Projects and School Buildings in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers continues to redouble its field efforts regarding following up on the stages of work and completion rates at the sites of model school buildings in the Nineveh and Salah al-Din governorates,” indicating that “ This came in implementation of the Prime Minister’s directives to follow up on the most important service files listed among the priorities of the government program.”
The engineering and technical team stressed – according to the statement – “the Chinese implementing company, during its field visit to the two aforementioned governorates, the need to increase effort and accelerate the pace of work in all sites, while stressing the need to deliver projects according to the specified timetables,” explaining, “The project will contribute to completing The phenomenon of schools containing double and triple shifts, and caravan and mud buildings.
The school buildings project, whose first phase includes the establishment of (1,000) schools in all governorates, is directly monitored by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, Hamid Al-Ghazi, representatives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and the Resident Engineer Department in the Ministry of Construction and Housing.
