Baghdad/NinaPrime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani visited, this Wednesday morning, the headquarters of the Ministry of Electricity in Baghdad. To follow up on the progress of work on the Ministry’s projects and its preparations to meet the increasing demand for electrical energy next summer.
A statement from his office stated, “Al-Sudani chaired a meeting during the visit with the agents, advisors, and general directors in the ministry, in which the ministry’s overall procedures, data and numbers related to collection, the expected future loads, and the steps taken to confront the increase and symptoms of load and bottlenecks in the national electrical network were reviewed, and he was briefed on the plans and programs.” established, and the maintenance and expansion plans being implemented by the international companies GE and Siemens.”
He stressed “the importance of making the preparation and provision of electrical energy a service priority and a standard for evaluating the performance of employees in the Ministry of Electricity, and the necessity of investigating the soundness of procedures for contracts and accrediting reputable companies, in a way that meets the ambition of citizens to receive continuous service and continuous provision of electrical energy.”
