President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, congratulated Keir Starmer, today, Friday, on the occasion of his assumption of the position of Prime Minister of Britain.
The President of the Republic said in a tweet on the (X) websites, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “We extend our congratulations and blessings to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer on the occasion of his assumption of the position of the new Prime Minister of Britain,” wishing him “success and good luck in his work duties, and to the Labor Party for its victory in the British general elections.”
He added, “On this occasion, we affirm Iraq’s aspiration to strengthen the existing relations with Britain in various areas of mutual interest, in a way that achieves the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, and supports the security and stability of the region.”
