The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Gamal Rashid, and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the necessity of deciding on choosing a new speaker for Parliament, while praising the level of service and development of the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani.

Mr. Al-Hakim said, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), “This evening, we received the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, accompanied by the independent Kurdish figure, Hello Ibrahim Ahmed, and we discussed with the President the developments of the political scene in Iraq and the region and the upcoming benefits, as the necessity of preserving the current stability at the level was confirmed.” Political, social and security, resulting from the sacrifices of Iraqis and the steadfastness of all components.”
He added: “While we recalled the fatwa on defensive jihad by Imam al-Sayyid al-Sistani on its tenth anniversary, and explained its impact on instilling spirit in souls and turning the equation on terrorism in preparation for defeating it and ending its black page, we praised, His Excellency, the level of service and development of the Sudanese government, and renewed the call to support it, and confirmed that the service path of the government was reflected positively. On the citizen’s level of satisfaction with performance in general.”
He continued: “We stressed the decision to choose a new speaker for the House of Representatives, and we called on members of the honorable Sunni component to agree on a candidate or elect a candidate within the representatives of the component in the House of Representatives.”
He went on to say: “Regarding the events in Gaza, we stressed that what is happening is a collapse in the system of values and rights and in the legal system for managing conflicts, and we once again stressed the ceasefire to avoid further escalation in the region and the necessity of providing relief to the displaced and rebuilding the city.”
