President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid and Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohsen Al-Mandalawi stressed today, Monday, the importance of joint work to consolidate security and stability and meet the needs of citizens.
The media department of the Presidency of the Republic said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “President of the Republic Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid received in Baghdad the Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi.”
The statement added that “during the meeting, the general situation in the country and its political, security and economic developments were discussed, and the importance of joint action to consolidate security and stability and meet the needs of citizens was emphasized.”
The President of the Republic stressed – according to the statement – “the importance of strengthening the existing cooperation between the Presidency of the Republic and the House of Representatives in the field of legislation, as the President paid special attention to projects that serve citizens and meet their aspirations.”
For his part, Al-Mandlawi expressed “the House of Representatives’ keenness to follow up on draft laws submitted by the Presidency of the Republic for the purpose of discussing and approving them,” stressing “his support for strengthening cooperation between the Presidency of the Republic and the House of Representatives.”
