US Deputy Chief of Staff Christopher Grady commented on the draft federal budget for the next fiscal year, saying that US forces are now prepared to deal with any of their potential adversaries.
“We are ready for battle today,” Grady said.
He added: “I think any (potential US) adversary should look at the budget and look at at least three or four things.”
He continued: “Firstly, this is a continuation of financing the nuclear arsenal, and the modernization of the nuclear triad. Secondly, it is space. When we think about the future and where we will win, I think that will be one of the most advantages we have alongside the submarine.” [الأسطول]”.
Grady also noted that the Pentagon requested an increase in defense spending in 2025 to $849.8 billion, which is 1% more than the previous level, and stressed that “this is a huge amount.”
The White House issued the draft resolution and sent it to the US Congress for consideration.
Republicans in the US House of Representatives rejected the budget draft presented by US President Joe Biden, accusing him of reckless spending.
