A US military official at the Pentagon confirmed today, Wednesday, that the US “Ain al-Assad” base in Anbar Governorate, western Iraq, was targeted by two drones, noting that none of the individuals inside the base were harmed.
“Initial data confirms that US and coalition forces successfully intercepted two drones at Ain al-Asad Air Base in Iraq. All personnel are safe and there were no injuries,” the military official said.
The official noted that the situation is evolving and further updates will be provided by US Central Command.
