In a statement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expressed its concern about the dangerous developments taking place in the Red Sea region.
The statement said: “The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation expresses its deep concern about the dangerous developments taking place in the Red Sea region and the air strikes that targeted a number of sites within the Republic of Yemen.”
The statement continued: “The General Secretariat stresses the necessity of working to reduce tension and avoid escalation in the Red Sea region and the expansion of the conflict in order to maintain the security and stability of the entire region.”
Earlier, an RT correspondent reported that American and British forces launched raids on the Yemeni city of Sanaa, Hodeidah, Taiz, Dhamar and Saada.
The leader of the Houthi “Ansar Allah” group, Ali Al-Qahhoum, confirmed that the group’s forces are now responding forcefully to the American and British battleships present in the Red Sea, and bombing Yemeni cities.
