The Israeli occupation army announced on Sunday that a soldier from the Givati Brigade was killed and an officer and two other soldiers were seriously injured during the battles taking place in the southern Gaza Strip.
According to what the Israeli army website reported, the total number of Israeli army deaths since October 7 reached 578, including 239 since the beginning of the ground maneuver in the Gaza Strip on October 27, and the number of wounded reached 2,962, including 453 in difficult condition.
The war in the Gaza Strip entered its 142nd day on Sunday, with the continued bombing threatening a humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip. Despite this, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that he would discuss “operational plans for Rafah soon.”
He added, “At the beginning of the week, a session of the mini-ministerial council will be held in order to approve operational plans for carrying out a military operation in Rafah, which will include the evacuation of the civilian population from there.”
