The media office of the National Security Advisor said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Council of National Security Agents held the third session for the year 2024, headed by the National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, and in the presence of the members of the Council,” noting that “the Council discussed the topics listed on the agenda, and take the necessary decisions and recommendations thereon.”
He added, “The Council discussed the issue of establishing an interactive electronic platform that works with artificial intelligence, to analyze data on terrorist and armed attacks and various incidents that have an impact on national security, provided by the Ministry of Science and Technology,” noting, “The Council recommended coordination between the Ministry of Science and Technology and the ministries.” and security agencies to benefit from and develop the platform.
He continued, “The session also witnessed the presentation and discussion of a draft (a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Iraq and the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities), which was approved, taking into account the observations and amendments that were presented during the session.”
