Baghdad/Nina/ The Director General of the National Department for Iraqi Women, in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, Yusra Karim Mohsen, chaired the meeting on writing the report of the Begin + 30 Platform for Action.
According to a statement by the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the Director General of the Department provided “a summary of the meetings held by the team, stressing the need to expedite the provision of the necessary data and information to write the final draft of the report at the end of February 2024 for the purpose of approving it.”
She appreciated “the role of the United Nations Development Program and UN Women in supporting the team meetings.”
The consultant at UN Women presented a review of the structure of the report, its main components, and the road map for writing the report.
It was recommended that each party submit a detailed report in accordance with the guiding questions and the review that was presented in a way that guarantees the achievements and priorities of the ministry, the mechanisms that work with it, and the challenges in accordance with clear indicators and data, and to host representatives of the ministries of Finance and Environment, and the High Commission for Human Rights in the team meetings./End H
