A statement by the Ministry stated that while the General Directorate of Civil Status, Passports and Residence confirms its commitment to providing the best services to citizens, we would like to clarify that the work will not stop and will continue to issue the national card after the date of 3/1/2024 and that the purpose of the current procedure is to move from paper work to the electronic system. Which achieves a qualitative leap in the services provided to citizens.
She explained that this procedure includes, as a first stage, only citizens inside Iraq, as old paper documents (civil status ID and nationality certificate) will not be dealt with, and the national card will be their substitute. [ عند مراجعتهم دوائر الدولة لغرض انجاز معاملة ما ]After this date.
