Baghdad/Nina/ Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani Al-Sawad, affirmed the government’s keenness to develop the energy sector in the country in a way that achieves industrial and economic development in the country.
The Minister of Oil said during his presidency of the ninth session of the Ministerial Council for Energy, which was held today in the presence of a number of ministers and advisors from the council members: “The agenda of the session discussed topics related to the Ministry of Oil and the Ministry of Electricity that were agreed upon, and included 11 paragraphs. The meeting concluded with the issuance of 6 decisions, which will be submitted.” To the Council of Ministers for approval.”
He pointed out, “The most important of these decisions is the project to develop the Diwaniyah refinery with a capacity of 70,000 barrels per day, indicating that the project will contribute to raising the production capacities of the petroleum products refinery sector, as well as economic support for the governorate, and providing fuel for electric power generation stations.”/End 7
