Today, Monday, the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, stressed the need for everyone to bear responsibility for the internal security file, while stressing the fight against corruption and punishing corruptors with the most severe punishment.
A statement from the ministry received by Al-Rasheed stated, “In his last stop in Basra Governorate, Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari held a security meeting with the directors and officers of the North Basra Police Directorate, and stressed the need to exert more determination and dedication to performing duty, as this directorate is responsible for the security of an important area.” It is bordered by more than one governorate.
The minister indicated, according to the statement, that “the directorate will be reinforced with patrols and detachments for rescue, traffic, and civil defence, in addition to providing it with a human element to enhance what is there.”
The minister stressed, “The need for everyone to bear responsibility for the internal security file, as this issue is their duty,” stressing also the need to fight corruption and punish corruptors with the most severe punishment.
The statement added, “The Minister of Interior honored a number of distinguished officers and members in the directorate.”
