The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, issued special directives on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Al-Kadhim, peace be upon him.

The Ministry of Interior stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “The Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Security Committee to secure the visit to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam al-Kadhim, peace be upon him, Abdul Amir al-Shammari, held an expanded meeting at the headquarters of the Baghdad Operations Command, in the presence of the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations, the Mayor of Baghdad, and a representative of The Office of the Prime Minister, the Commander of Baghdad Operations, the Commander of Army Aviation, a representative of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and a number of leaders and officers from various security formations to discuss the ongoing preparations to ensure the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Musa bin Jaafar (peace be upon him).”
The minister stressed, according to the statement, “strengthening the intelligence effort, supporting it with human resources, following up on the stages of the plans drawn up for this immortal visit, and securing the holy city of Kadhimiya and its surroundings,” stressing “organizing the routes for visitors and the smooth flow of movement, and not blocking any road without returning to the General Traffic Directorate to work on establishing Alternative routes in case any road is blocked.”
The Minister also stressed full cooperation with the owners of the mourning processions and contributing to providing the best services to visitors.
