A statement from the Ministry of Education received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated, “The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, chaired a meeting of the ministerial committee responsible for the preparations for launching the second version of the Study in Iraq program for the year 2024/2025, and the Minister of Education listened during the meeting to a comprehensive explanation.” About the program of the previous version for the year 2023/2024, which attracted one thousand and fifteen international students who enrolled in studies in Iraqi universities in various specializations at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels.
The Minister of Education praised “the indicators of success achieved in this file, which will enhance the academic reputation of Iraqi universities and give positive momentum in terms of competition in international classifications,” noting at the same time the importance of attracting international students and enhancing the path of integration between the ministry’s departments and its university institutions in managing the new version of the “Study in” program. Iraq, which will be ready for launch next March.”
