The Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works, Benkin Rekani, confirmed today, Monday, the completion of all 2023 projects during the current year, while setting the date for starting the ring road.
Al-Rikani told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “All the projects that the Ministry initiated last year will be fully completed during the current year, with the exception of one or two projects, the opening of which will be postponed to the year 2025.”
He added, “The government program and the ministry focused in the last stage on projects that affect citizens on a daily basis, including traffic congestion projects that will continue for 3 years, in addition to the residential cities construction project, which will be part of the comprehensive solution to the housing crisis in the country.”
Regarding the ring road, the Minister of Construction confirmed that “during the next two weeks, the pre-qualification of the companies implementing the ring road will be announced, after which it will begin.”
