Baghdad / Nina / The Mayor of Baghdad, Ammar Musa Kazem, discussed with the secretaries and officials of the municipal administrations of Arab cities joint cooperation, strengthening relations and exchanging experiences in the fields of construction and services.
A statement from the secretariat stated: “The Mayor of Baghdad held side meetings on the sidelines of the 61st Executive Council meeting of the Arab Towns Organization, which is being held in Baghdad under the auspices of the Prime Minister, with the Mayor of Amman from the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Director of the Qatari Municipality of Doha, the Mayor of Mecca, and the Undersecretary of the Riyadh Municipality for Urban Development from the Kingdom.” Saudi Arab “.
The statement added: “The mayor of Baghdad also met with the governor of Alexandria from Egypt, the president of the Syrian city council of Aleppo, the clerk in charge of running the Tunisian municipality, the mayor of Mogadishu, and the governor of Banadir province from Somalia.”
During these meetings, the Mayor of Baghdad discussed joint cooperation and the exchange of experiences in service fields to meet the requirements of the capital, Baghdad. He also discussed digital automation projects, electronic transformation, waste management, and maximizing financial resources by involving the private sector, similar to some neighboring capitals.
He also discussed with the trustees of Arab cities the exchange of experiences in the fields of urban and urban planning, preservation of buildings, heritage areas, green spaces, and transportation. He received many invitations from Arab cities to visit them and discuss strengthening joint bilateral relations and signing memorandums of understanding that serve the city of Baghdad./ End
