The media office of Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati issued a statement following the circulation of news and leaks about warnings the Prime Minister received from Israel regarding launching a large-scale attack on the country.
Mikati stressed that there is no truth to these leaks and news and they fall within the framework of the pressures being exerted on Lebanon.
Najib Mikati’s office reported that the Prime Minister is conducting intensive diplomatic contacts in order to stop the ongoing Israeli aggression against southern Lebanon.
Earlier, Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy said that Tel Aviv is close to making a decision regarding Hezbollah’s daily attacks on the north.
For his part, Minister in the Israeli war government, Benny Gantz, confirmed during a tour in the northern border region with Lebanon on Tuesday, that by September we will finish the mission here and be able to begin another reality.
The southern Lebanese border is witnessing a significant increase in the number of operations amid warnings of the seriousness of the situation and calls for all parties to cease fire and exercise restraint.
