The Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, on behalf of the journalistic family, expressed its thanks and appreciation to Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani and members of the Council of Ministers for their approval to allocate an amount of (5) five billion dinars to cover the treatment of Iraqi journalists.
The union stated in a statement received by Al-Rashid, that it “offers, on behalf of the journalistic family, its thanks and appreciation to the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and the members of the Council of Ministers for their approval to allocate an amount of (5) five billion dinars to cover the treatment of elderly, sick, and pioneer Iraqi journalists, and to support their social solidarity, solidarity, and treatment.” Families of martyrs of journalism.”
The union appreciated this humanitarian decision by the Prime Minister and members of the Council of Ministers and their keenness to support journalists and follow up on their humanitarian cases, and in appreciation of their efforts and their distinguished role in contributing to building the state and conveying the bright picture of Iraq and the development and progress taking place in it on the ground and in all fields to public opinion.
She noted, “On this occasion, the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate announces that journalists and owners of honorable pens and free speech will continue to give and create with the same determination in order to raise the status of Iraq, serve its dear people, and support the government’s distinguished efforts in the field of services and the extensive reconstruction campaign that Iraq is currently witnessing.”
