Baghdad/NinaThe Iraqi Journalists Syndicate announced the start of renewing the identities of its members for the year 2024.
The union stated in a statement: “It will begin renewing the identities of its members for the year 2024, starting on Tuesday, 3/5/2024, according to the following schedule:
First: Baghdad, according to the letters of the alphabet
Sunday: A-B-D-C-H-H.
Monday: D – D – R – G – S – Sh – R
Tuesday: D – T – D – A – G – F – Q
Wednesday: K – L – M – N – E – F – Y
Second: Thursday and Saturday of every week for the union’s branches in the governorates only
The following controls and instructions will be adopted for renewing identities:
1- Submitting a new letter of support from a media institution accredited by the union and whose accreditation has been renewed, provided that the person wishing to renew is among the staff of the institution listed in the union, and this includes all members (experienced, intern, and participant).
2- Fellow pioneer journalists born in 1949 are exempted from the media institution’s letter of endorsement, accreditation, and staff, and are granted the identity of pioneer journalists. An exception is made for colleagues who practice their journalistic work, provided that they submit examples of their journalistic writings at the present time.
3- Media graduates demand confirmation of graduation for the year 2024 exclusively addressed to the Journalists Syndicate for the purpose of renewing their identities.
4- Signing a written pledge that he is not affiliated with the Ministries of Defense, Interior, and Internal Security Forces./End 7
