A security source said on Thursday that the Iraqi National Intelligence Service was the one who arrested Al-Baghdadi’s wives and his daughter in one of the neighboring countries.
The source told Al-Rasheed, “The Iraqi National Intelligence Service was the one who arrested the wives of the former ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and his daughter, during the arrest and recovery operation in one of the countries neighboring Iraq, through intelligence follow-up and uncovering the most important leads.”
He added, “The agency was able to find out their identities and their hiding places, as they held non-Iraqi nationalities, and after lengthy investigations they admitted their connection to Al-Baghdadi,” noting that “during the initial investigations, they denied their connection to Al-Baghdadi, and it was necessary to conduct a DNA test to prove this, and after The appearance of the examination results revealed the accuracy of the intelligence service’s information.”
The source pointed out that “their confessions were recorded and referred to the competent judicial authorities.”
