On Monday, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan called on the international community to assume its responsibility to stop the war in the Gaza Strip and protect civilians so that there can be a peace process.
In his speech at the 55th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, Bin Farhan stressed Saudi Arabia’s rejection of double standards in dealing with the war in Gaza, noting that the residents of Gaza are subjected to the most horrific human rights violations.
Bin Farhan warned of the disastrous consequences of any Israeli attack on Rafah.
On Monday, the war in Gaza entered its 143rd day, amid continued bombing and fears of famine, while Israel confirmed its intention to postpone the Rafah operation if a prisoner exchange deal was reached.
