The Ministry of Interior announced today, Sunday, the arrest of a drug dealer in possession of 275 thousand Captagon pills in Muthanna Governorate.
The spokesman for the ministry and the Security Media Cell, Brigadier General Muqdad Miri, said in a statement received by “Al-Rasheed”, that “with a precise security and intelligence operation and technical efforts, the General Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances was able to arrest an international drug dealer in possession of 275 thousand Captagon narcotic pills, equivalent to 45 kilograms.”
He added, “The arrest took place in Muthanna Governorate under the supervision of the Muthanna Narcotics Director, in cooperation with the Investigative Authority in the General Directorate,” noting that “the accused was brought before the investigating judge, who decided to detain him in accordance with the provisions of Article 27 of the Anti-Narcotics Law.”
