The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced today, Tuesday, the arrest of 69 foreigners in violation of the residency law in the capital, Baghdad.
The agency stated, in a statement received by Al-Rashid, that “through the agency’s specialized units auditing and following up on the fundamentalist approvals of Arabs and foreigners residing in Baghdad Governorate, they identified 69 violations of the Iraqi residency law.”
She added: “Through cooperation with the Directorate of Residence and supporting agencies, a campaign was organized to follow up on violators within Baghdad Governorate, next to Al-Karkh, which resulted in the arrest of 69 foreigners in violation of the residency law.”
She confirmed that “fundamental measures have been taken against foreign violators and referred them to the competent authority.”
