A statement issued by the Council’s Media Department, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said, “Al-Mandalawi opened the fourteenth session of the third legislative year/first legislative term of the fifth electoral cycle.”
She added that “the number of attendees at the session reached 201 deputies.”
The House of Representatives adjourned its session after it postponed voting on the draft law to ratify the Arab Protocol to Prevent and Combat Maritime Piracy and Armed Robbery, annexed and supplementing the Arab Convention to Combat Transnational Organized Crime.
