Today, Monday, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayed Al-Lami, directed the formation of an investigation committee against the media professionals who caused chaos at the national team coach’s conference after the Iraq-Jordan match.
A statement from the Journalists Syndicate, received by Al-Rasheed, stated, “Al-Lami directed the Syndicate’s Disciplinary Committee to investigate the journalists who transgressed and abused during the press conference of the national team coach after the Iraq-Jordan match today.”
Al-Lami stressed, according to the statement, that “a true journalist must show confidence, commitment, and respect for professional standards on such occasions, and that the irresponsible behavior of journalists that happened today is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated.”
The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate called on the Disciplinary Committee to “expedite the investigation, reveal the circumstances that occurred, and punish those responsible.”
