Baghdad/Nina/ The head of the Federal Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, stressed the need for all state institutions to come together to stand against corruption and its dangers, warning that the most dangerous thing is that corruption has penetrated the military and security institutions.
During his meeting with the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Karim Al-Tamimi, at the Commission’s headquarters, Hanoun stressed: “The importance of stoking the patriotic spirit among the fighter and the security man,” pointing out that “this enhances the spirit of sacrifice in the fight against Iraq’s enemies, including the terrorists and the corrupt.”
For his part, Al-Tamimi indicated that he is keen to twin the agency with the Federal Integrity Commission to prevent and combat corruption, pointing out that “the agency works to ensure that non-professional standards such as affiliation and nepotism do not leak into the appointments it recently launched and to adjudicate the standards of integrity and loyalty to the homeland.”
He called for “cooperating with the agency in order to ensure the integrity of projects and contracts and that they are free of suspicions of corruption.”/End 7
