Today, Friday, the head of the Integrity Commission, Judge Haider Hanoun, revealed the fate of those accused in the theft of the century case, while confirming that the main accused, Nour Zuhair, and 30 others will be tried soon.
Hanoun said, in a statement to the official news agency, followed by Al-Rasheed, that “Nour Zuhair’s case is currently before the judiciary to complete the lawsuit procedures, and currently there are more than 30 defendants, some of whom are arrested, others are on the run, and some of them are in shackles.”
He added, “The investigative court is working to complete some of the funds, and then go to the trial court to try them according to the law. Soon we will rejoice with a just ruling for those who stole the people’s money.”
