Today, Thursday, the head of the Victory Coalition, Haider al-Abadi, confirmed his support for the current government’s steps in support of the Iraqi dinar, while indicating that the four-year period is not sufficient to complete the government program.

Al-Abadi said in a statement to the “Under Two Lines” program, broadcast by Al-Iraqiya News and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “during his tenure as prime minister, Iraq sided with an economic problem, and Iraq was credit-rated for the first time, and he also opposed the move to float the Iraqi dinar in The previous government and I supported the dinar in the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, despite the objection of some political forces,” indicating that “the four-year period is not sufficient to complete the government program and one should not go to projects that the official cannot complete in the future.”
He added, “Any weakening of the Federal Court is a weakening for everyone, and the government must be supported,” stressing that “he did not oppose any government or disagree with its viewpoints.”
He noted that he “does not consider himself a first-class electoral contender.”
He pointed out “the necessity of not delaying the election of the Speaker of Parliament, as the country’s interest is higher than positions.”
