Baghdad/NinaToday, Monday, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, held a telephone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shukri, during which the recent attacks on Iraqi territory and the Iraqi government’s position on them were discussed.
A Foreign Ministry statement said that the two sides also discussed the current situation in the region.
The two ministers stressed the importance of calm and dialogue to reduce escalation and tension.
