Baghdad / Nina/ The President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassim Muhammad Aboud Al-Amiri, confirmed today, Thursday, that Iraq is currently taking steady steps to build the state, while stressing that the Federal Court is performing its role in a way that ensures the preservation of national unity.
The judiciary media stated in a statement that, “As part of his visit to the Jordanian capital, Amman, the President of the Federal Supreme Court, Judge Jassem Al-Amiri, and his accompanying delegation discussed with the Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh, and a number of officials in the Jordanian government, the mechanism of joint cooperation and the exchange of legal expertise, in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries.” .
During his meeting with the President of the Federal Court, the Jordanian Prime Minister affirmed the special status of Iraq, its leadership, government and people, in the conscience of King Abdullah II of Jordan, noting that “the Kingdom is keen to strengthen relations in various fields with Iraq.”
The statement quoted Al-Amiri as saying: “Despite the difficult circumstances that Iraq went through, represented by the emergence of Al-Qaeda and ISIS, which committed heinous crimes that go beyond the description of genocide and war crimes, and despite the fact that these organizations created sectarian strife, Iraq, as a result of the great sacrifices made by the Iraqi people and their support… Countries friendly to Iraq were able to achieve victory.”
He added, “Victory was achieved by liberating the areas controlled by these organizations and eliminating them, despite the fact that they brought together in their evil the forces of global terrorism as a result of the influx of terrorists from all countries of the world and their entry into Iraq and the support of some countries for these terrorist gangs with money and weapons. However, the blood of the Iraqis, which carries and expresses About noble human and moral values and principles that are much stronger than all the forces of evil and terrorism.”
He continued, “This led to an increase in national cohesion among the Iraqi people, as takfirism and terrorism did not discourage the people from moving forward to build a state of institutions, the rule of law, and the embodiment of the principles of justice, equality, and democracy. Iraq is currently moving with steady steps to build the state.”
He pointed out that “the judiciary had a major role in embodying these principles through the efforts made by all judges to establish the values of justice, remove injustice, and preserve public funds and employ them to serve the people, as the Federal Court, with its independence and constitutional powers, was based on the provisions of Articles (92, 93 and 94) of The Constitution of the Republic of Iraq of 2005 played a major role in preserving the proper application of the Constitution and preserving the political, social and economic rights and freedoms of all citizens. It also played a major role in developing solutions to the obstacles that accompanied the political process by issuing decisions consistent with the Constitution and the law.
He stressed that “the court was performing its role within the framework of the supreme interest of the people and the country and in a way that ensures the preservation of the national unity of the Republic of Iraq and the inadmissibility of harming it for any reason whatsoever. The Federal Court also issued decisions that require achieving equality for all citizens and achieving a fair distribution of wealth, and it is in all of this.” Emphasizes the necessity of adhering to the provisions of Article (110) of the Constitution, and that the exclusive powers of the federal authorities be exercised by those authorities, and not to be overstepped by any other authority, because this relates to the sovereignty of Iraq, specifically foreign policy, diplomatic representation, and foreign trade policy across the borders of regions and governorates. formulating financial policy and negotiating foreign treaties.
He stressed that “Iraq is very keen to build international relations with all countries of the world on the basis of mutual respect and common interests, with the exception of the Zionist entity usurping Palestine, as this entity committed heinous crimes against our people in Gaza that claimed thousands of lives of children, women and the elderly, exceeding their description as humanitarian crimes and war crimes.” And the countries of the world are watching all of this.”
He explained that “the Federal Supreme Court in Iraq seeks to cooperate with all constitutional courts, for the purpose of consolidating constitutional values and building judicial relations in the service of peoples in order to advance human, moral and social values in order to remove injustice, spread justice, establish the principle of peaceful transfer of power, and allow all citizens to enjoy civil and political rights, including the right to Voting, electing, nominating, and building constitutional institutions properly.”
He stressed the necessity of standing against the injustice to which human societies are exposed by countries that violate international laws, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, and violate the provisions of the United Nations Charter, and the necessity for the constitutional judiciary in all countries of the world to have a humanitarian stance, given that the constitutional judiciary in every country The countries of the world play a major role in framing the human values, rights and freedoms of peoples, which must not be infringed upon.”/End 9
