The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, confirmed that the explosion that was recently heard in Isfahan was not close to the nuclear site there.
“The recent explosion in Isfahan has nothing to do with the nuclear industry and was not close to our site,” Eslami told reporters after a cabinet meeting. Asked about the launch of the air defense system on the road to Qom, he said, “This incident has nothing to do with nuclear sites.”
In a related context, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization announced that Tehran had launched three radioactive sites during the past three months, explaining that “these sites will be inaugurated next August.”
