The Minister of Environment, Nizar Amidi, confirmed today, Monday, that the electronic platform has brought about a qualitative shift in facilitating citizens’ transactions in record time.

Aamidi said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The electronic platform for environmental transactions and approvals came to implement the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani and the decisions of the government program to combat corruption and simplify procedures for citizens.”
He pointed out, “Through the technical effort in the ministry and in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the electronic platform system was able to receive and complete citizens’ transactions and environmental approvals electronically without the citizen being present and burdening them with the burden of routine paperwork.”
He stressed that “the platform is the most important step in implementing electronic governance software, which enables the Ministry to deepen transparency, combat corruption, and simplify procedures in a record period,” pointing out that “the Ministry of Environment is intensifying its oversight and awareness role and drawing up general strategies for environmental management in the country.”
